RadioMax Week 5/25 – The EDGE falls slightly to #5

The results for this past week were just emailed to us courtesy of our friend Ron from radiomaxmusic.com. In this week’s list, we made the inevitable fall down to number five. Why inevitable, you ask? Well, there are better shows out there than us… and for the past couple of weeks, RadioMaxMusic was a featured station on Windows Media, so listenership was booming… and since the station is more music-centric, we were bound to fall. ‘The EDGE’ is the only talk show currently on RadioMaxMusic. So without further delay, here’s this week’s list…

1. Ron Kovacs – Classic Countdown [May 30, 2009]
2. Ron Kovacs – Friday Night All Request Show [May 26, 2009]
3. Joey Prout – Sock Hop Soda Shoppe [May 31, 2009]
4. Len Davies – Magical History Tour [May 30, 2009]
5. Mike and Sal – The Edge [May 27, 2009]
6. Bob Shannon – Across The Tracks With Heart & Soul [May 30, 2009]
7. Willie B – Vinyl Resting Place [1987 Special]
8. Dominic Forbes – Soft Rock Classics Show [May 30, 2009]
9. Julian Little – Jules Dance Show [May 30, 2009]
10. Mike Pell – Rockollections [May 30, 2009]

Like I said above, radiomaxmusic.com was a featured station on Windows Media for the past two weeks, and because of such, Ron filled us in on the listener count…

We were featured for two weeks by Windows Media and during the 14 day period we did a 140% increase of listeners and broke a record of 91,000 Unique listeners to the stream last week over the 82,000 Unique the week previous. We did not break the Feb record 138,000 Unique but still a great increase since 19 weeks ago. This tells me that the recent changes made and the great programs on the station are moving in the right direction.

…it’s a great time for radiomaxmusic.com right now, experiencing growth in numbers and great programming. Sal and myself are honored to be a part of it.

Tune in to our show LIVE here at EDGE FM and simulcasted on RadioMaxMusic.com every Wednesday night at 10pm eastern/7pm pacific… or catch our show replay on RadioMaxMusic.com Friday nights at 10pm eastern (until Labor Day when we return to our normal slot).

This morning, we (Sal and myself) recieved an email from our buddy Ron highlighting the top ten most listened to shows on RadioMaxMusic last week. So, here’s the list…

See that bolded entry at number four? Yup, so do we… our debut on RadioMaxMusic had us at the number four most listened to show last week. For us, that’s a pretty cool feeling… but at the same time, we need to be real. Our arrival was posted on the site and mentioned on the station so it probably had a little bit of hype behind it.

Maybe I’m just being pessimistic, but I figure that people were maybe just sampling us to see what the ‘hype’ was about. We’ll continue to strive to expand our audience and deliver the programming that we have been since day one. I’d just like to thank Ron Kovacs (the guy who runs RadioMaxMusic) for giving us this opportunity and to all of the people on his site and right here at EDGE FM who join us live every week and download our shows for sticking with us.

We encourage all of you to check out the programming over at RadioMaxMusic.. there is so much variety over there that it’s insane. Then he’s got all of these music shows (we’re the only talk show right now) piled on top of it making for a pretty cool listen. The show that’s at number one.. that’s a show that plays love songs and other features and on Friday night it airs right after we do from Midnight to 2AM eastern.
