TheSomeGuyShow Episode 34 Promo

The Some Guy Show, now in a podcast format, features the irreverent jokes and jibes of host Jay Such. He writes jokes, and owns a Honda. His targets: himself, mainly, but who knows where pop culture references and topics of the day will lead. It’s a conversation like none other between Jay and his co-hosts, Joe Kearney, and TheDeskChicken as they ask such meaningful questions as “Why would women smuggle drugs in their va-jay-jay?” And with thousands of hits within days of posting his podcasts or Youtube videos, The Some Guy Show has the funny answers. Check out this episode on the Edge FM stream, or grab it on iTunes.

Brainstu Radio: October 10th, 2011 Show Rundown

October 10th, 2011 Show Rundown

Segment 1

We begin this show very happy, which is not normal. Mike is very happy his 49ers beat the Buccaneers by 40 points and Hammy is happy his beloved Green Bay Packers are 5-0

Hammy quickly gets annoyed and says he almost got into a physical confrontation with a (looked like one) crackhead mom because he didn’t buy candy from her kid. Hammy says even if he did have cash on him, he didn’t want any candy.

Back to NFL talk, Michael Irvin said on NFL network last night that the Packers COULD go 16-0. As excited as Hammy is by that announcement, they won’t do it. We compare this Packers team with the 2007 Patriots, who did go 16-0, but thankfully lost to the Giants in the Super Bowl

We then vent a little bit about a station that WAS going to syndicate us, but snubbed us and ignored us.

Hammy explains that the owner of the station hasn’t downloaded Lust N Love (which is syndicated there) in months and claims that a former EdgeFM host might have said something, but he doesn’t know yet.

We re-tell the story of learning what kind of person Frank from HNB, our old station, is. Hammy say’s Frank gave him a “manager” position, yet all he wanted Hammy to do was spy on other shows and find out who is trashing the station.

Douche…

Hammy tells a story about talking to Cluster F Radio, among other shows, to start our own internet station, but Frank prevented that from happening.

Hammy say’s last weeks Royce & Falcone was some of the funniest bashing free-for-all radio he’s ever heard and no one on the show was safe.

We talk about The Fifth Circle, which Hammy say’s did a fantastic job at pointing out the many flaws of the people that are protesting. (Listen to the show yourself
Here
)

We also give a big shoutout to Derek, who was the “man on the street” that made this entire show happen. Follow him
@Derek712

After some more talk about the protesters, we read the
“Non-Official” list of demands
the protesters are calling for.

A few callers, Royce from Hippojuice among them, give feedback to the conversation.

Realizing that we’ve been going for almost 2 hours on this topic, we finally go on a break

Song Break

Beastie Boys – Make Some Noise

Segment 2

Doug Brian (on Skype) reveals he once paid for a hand job.

We discussed the angry priest that is trying to prevent New York
naming a street after George Carlin
. Doug say’s it’s bullshit that some controversial race leaders have streets named after them and Carlin can’t get any recognition.

The conversation turned to the psychopath filled family known as the Duggars, who have their own TLC show just because they have a lot of children. Oh, they believe humans and dinosaurs existed together just like The Flinstones, among other ridiculous bible beliefs…

We took a look at some of their other religious beliefs and their “buddy” system, meaning the mother has so many children, that the older children have to help look after the small children. We read an interview they gave after their most recent child was born 3 months early, where the mother said they would welcome more children. We find out that before baby 2, the mother had a miscarriage. She believes “the Lord will tell her when to stop having babies”.

Doug thinks one of the older daughters, Jessa, is hot. Well, we agree…

We discussed the new iPhone 4S, and how it didn’t WOW us like Apple said it would. Hammy say’s it will be impressive if it performs at 4G speeds without needing a 4G network like Apple say’s it would, then it will be the leader of the mobile phones. Hammy also say’s the camera and Siri will be the big selling features. We take a look at the video demonstration of Siri, and we are scared by how intelligent the technology is…

Skynet BETA…

We finish the show debating which amateur rap song is worse, “Who Got Dat Work” by Cashville Money Squad or our favorite fat dumb rapper, Locomotive Curt…

Brainstu Radio: September 12th, 2011 Show Rundown

September 12th, 2011 Show Rundown

Segment 1

WE’RE BACK! After an almost month long absence from the wonderful world of unpaid internet radio, we return to EdgeFM happy to be back. Hammy say’s although he loved vacation and being stuck in Florida, he missed doing the show.

The hosts of EdgeFM are doing a Fantasy Football game and Dutch (from Hippojuice and Dutch & Royce) is very annoyed he’s losing to Hammy, who’s team was all picked automatically and 3 of his starters are injured.

We obviously couldn’t go through this show without mentioning that yesterday was the 10 year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Hammy talks about how his Dad worked just a few blocks away from the WTC and how 9/11 means more to people in the New York and Washington DC then people in the mid-west or west coast just because a lot of people on the east coast knew people that worked in New York.

We talked about Muslims in a Tennessee town that are being terrorized because they want to build a Mosque and the folks in the town down want it.

Hammy tells a story about how he got into a fight with a “Truther” a few years ago on the anniversary of 9/11 because he tried helping a mourning family member that was being harrassed by the “Truthers”.

Hammy talks about getting stuck in Florida while Hurricane Irene flooded most of the New York area. He talks about hanging out with Royce, Marie and the Hippojuice gang and says he had a great time. (Check them out at Hippojuice.com)

Mike talks about the possibility of moving to florida because his family might be selling the house in Jersey and everything is cheaper in Florida. We talk about how houses might be cheap, but jobs pay less and gas is more expensive in Florida.

We talk about Fantasy Football. Mike says it gives you a reason to cheer for other teams besides your own. Hammy says this is his first year and he is addicted. He tells a story about a league he is in with friends that he couldn’t make the draft for and they drafted him nothing but kickers, punters and the Miami Dolphins defense.

Hammy says he is happy Dutch is annoyed that his hand-picked team is losing against Hammys auto-picked team. Hammy says he won’t change anything about his team except change players that are on a bye weeks and see how many games he wins.

Hammy talks about his cruise and says he loved the Oasis Of The Seas, the Royal Caribbean ship he took.

Hammy says the only problem with security was getting his $300 stereo headphones off of the ship. Customs had an issue with them and wanted to see if they were a bomb.

We discuss 9/11 again and how Hollywood is gonna eventually make a “Titanic” like love story surrounding the attacks. We guessed that a “Titanic” like love story surrounding the 9/11 attacks will be released by 2051, the 50 year anniversary of the attacks.

We talked about Country music artists that already released “I love America” type songs right after the attacks and made lots of money profiting over peoples patriotism, like Tobey Keith’s “Courtesy Of The Red, White & Blue”

Hammy says all Country music sounds exactly the same and Country stations play the national anthem at 12 Noon every day to salute the troops. We agree that patriotism is fine, but Country stations and singers are too much and not necessary. Hammy broke down the 7 stereotypes that are in almost every single Country song:

1. Mention God and Jesus

2. Talk about your “Country” life

3. Mourning a lost loved one or bad relationship

4. Praising the military and America

5. Mention other artists that are as “Country” as you are.

6. Mention a pickup truck, usually a Chevy

7. The entire song is about what you did that day (“Went to work, drank beer, danced with girls, etc.”)

We took a look at the top Country songs on the Billboard charts and guessed what the songs were about just based off the song title.

Hammy says the worst thing about Country and music in general is the fact that Taylor Swift is famous because every song she writes are bitter songs about previous boyfriends. We play her latest single “Mean”.

Hammy says although we just trashed Country music for the past 30 minutes, he loves Motley Crue and songs like “Girls, Girls, Girls”, where they just talk about having sex with women.

We talk about Johnny Cash, a Country artist we actually like. After a few more minutes of music talk, we finally take a break.

Break 1 Songs

Foo Fighters – Bridge Burning

Orgy – Blue Monday

Johnny Cash – I Walk The Line

Segment 2

Mike complains about how bad his car is and talks about how his engine gives off a foul smell and parts are constantly breaking. Feedback comes in with what kind of car Mike should get.

We are beginning to really like Katt Williams. During a recent show, he trashed a Mexican man in the audience and people are outraged.

We discussed his interview on CNN after the incident with the news anchor trying to get an apology from Katt.

Break 2 Songs

Anthrax – I Am The Law

Sevendust – Denial

Segment 3

To finish up the show, we discussed a fat man that is suing White Castle because the booths are too small for him. The 64 year old man has been complaining about the booth sizes for over 2 years.

Here’s some stuff that the Hippojice crew spoke about on their latest episode.

Mike and Sal 6/29 Recap

It was a fun show tonight. Like usual, the show took many twists and turns with their off topic rants and ramblings about anything and everything. They wondered if they can be the first internet radio show to broadcast in FLAC format, and as predicted, Sal’s on and off Twitter nemesis was a flake, (coward, chicken-shit, pussy) and didn’t call in to the show. Oh yeah, they called a few sex hot lines too.

  • Woman uses child as weapon during brawl
  • NOTICE TO ALL RADIO SHOWS….THESE WORDS ARE UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Justin Timberlake is part of group that bought Myspace
  • Woman arrested for spraying breast milk on police officer
  • Dude beaten up and tattooed with misspelled word
  • Man is sorry and will never try to rape his bulldog again
  • Mike’s upcoming concert, Sal’s upcoming vacation, and weird music mash-ups
  • Sandy Kane ran her mouth all day to Sal, and DID NOT try to call in like she said
  • Sal attempts to call her, and ends up leaving a vicious voice mail to a total stranger. We’ll keep you updated if anything comes of that situation.

The Edge 1/27 Recap

Tonight’s show was an RJ-less show… meaning it was a good one. Mike and Sal return to their usual A.D.D. style of conversation. They talked about everything under the sun, from Gary Coleman getting arrested to guys who’re short and think they can’t get women. A lot of randomness tonight, so download the show and see if you can keep up.

You can download the show directly here. You can also subscribe to The Edge on Itunes.

Some stuff we touched upon….

  • Sal thinks he may be God
  • Do short men have a chance with women?
  • Sex chips (not a porno movie involving motorcycle cops)
  • Rock’s Top Frontmen
  • Bad grades= Dead Hamster
  • Eating dogs,cats,turtles, and ass….
  • Why You Always Get Dumped

Thanks to all who listened, and Mike and Sal want to thank RJ’s airbag for giving him a week off from his strenuous job here at Edge FM. ;)

Sal’s FYIs

1. Sal does NOT stroll elementary schools in his spare time!

2. Sal has a lot of stalkers. (Don’t ask why….even though they’re fat messes,he’s flattered… he’ll take it.

3. Sal’s REAL TWITTER is @njsal. It is not edgefmsal, or sally. NJSal has been his nickname for more than 3 years now.
