We always get common misconceptions about the show that we’re ‘racist’, and very ‘profane’. The profanity part is a given, being this is the Internet and there is no regulation to what can be said. We understand and agree with that part… but it’s not going to change. Now, the racist part… I can understand this if we were to JUST pick on one race. Whether it be Blacks, Hispanics, Orientals, Caucasians, whatever.. but, it’s not. We pick on EVERY RACE (or most of them anyway). For regular listeners of the show, remember when we did the ‘Glossary of Racial Slurs’ segment? We read racial slurs that were for every race under the sun. Native Americans, Indians, Blacks, Hispanics, Orientals, Caucasians and I believe even certain European ethnic groups as well.

TO CLARIFY for everyone: ‘The EDGE’ and specifically Sal and myself are not racist people. We both have friends of many racial persuasions and do not hate upon anyone in any unfair way. The things we say on the show are purely for entertainment purposes. We may go a bit too far sometimes, but we never say things out of hate.

So, to get to business. Last night, it was brought to our attention that Ron (the owner of radiomaxmusic.com) recieved a SNAIL MAIL letter from a woman who resides in Oklahoma. She complained in her letter about different aspects of our show. So Ron took the time to write her back, also via snail mail. He sent the letter out to her yesterday, but he also took the time to type it out for Sal and myself. So here is Ron’s response to her, in its entirety (with her name and city left out.. she may be a dumb whore, but we respect people’s privacy).

I just read your letter addressed to me and compelled to respond and do so rather pointed and hopefully not offensive. I am going to email this to the hosts of the program and as much as I want to publish on our website, I will refrain as you did not email this nor used a public platform to discuss your views. I thank you for the taking the time to respond and ask that you share this letter with your friends.

Your comments and thoughts were out of line and rather offensive to me. You take the point of view that I am supposed to censor comments from the EDGE program and warn our listeners of offensive programming and include that racist, anti-religious, anti-woman views are expressed. Well, that is NOT going to happen. Our station provides ENTERTAINMENT 24 hours a day and you have the same opportunity that all listeners have to CLICK OUT OF THE PROGRAM, TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER or simply DON’T LISTEN AT ALL.

I have received ALL KINDS OF EMAILS OVER THE last twenty years and they are similar in respect to a religious slant and my being damned to hell etc… Let me tell you that I DO NOT respect any religion nor ask the employees of Radiomax to hold off expression or points of view in talk format programming. If you are so offended and think you are going to actually create a boycott of my station, I wish you good luck. I welcome any attempt and hope you will take this topic to the public so that I can begin a debate live on the station.

Your right winged views are offensive to me personally and I ask that you refrain from sending me any further communication. Exercise your rights and self censor yourself and stop trying to reform others to accept your point of view. As fucked up as they are you have the right to NOT LIKE what we do here, but taking that stance allows me to get into your face with my own point of view.

I am so fucking tired of the right sided views of God and Country. Take the GOD view and shove it up your ass and leave the rest of us who know the truth alone and free to express ourselves. If you think you are going to hear your agenda supported on this station, trust me, that will never happen. I leak out my views from time to time in my music programs, but as the owner of this station, I make that choice. You can tell that my views differ greatly from yours. But this comment, quoted from your letter, “Mr. Kovacs, remove that profane, racist edge program asap and please refrain from making bad comments about our former President Bush….” show your mentality and lack of knowledge. The Edge program is NOT a racist program and I did NOT make comments about Bush, it was a comedy piece. Did you contact the Comedy Central Cable Channel and ask them to stop broadcasting the same sound bite, the place where that was originally aired?

Please get your head out of your ass and please find another medium to listen to.

Lets start out with some breaking news….

Jersey City police have arrested a Secaucus man on charges he followed young Hispanic women on the street and urinated on the backs of their legs in as many as seven separate incidents since late December, officials said.

Nitinkuma A. Patel, 27, of Moller Street, was arrested yesterday after urinating on the leg of a 16-year-old girl shortly before 9 a.m. by Police Officer Mike Meyers who was staking out the area off Journal Square where all but one of the incidents occurred, Police Deputy Director Peter Nalbach said.

Patel is charged with aggravated criminal sexual contact, lewdness, and child abuse, officials said.

After his arrest, another victim identified Patel as the man who urinated on her and police are looking into the other five reported incidents, officials said.

Meyers set up surveillance at 7:25 a.m. at Tuers Avenue and Vroom Street and at 8:52 a.m. he saw the 16-year-old walking east on Vroom on the south side of the street with Patel following her, reports said.

Patel wore gray sweatpants with “a large wet spot around his crotch area,” reports said.

When the girl turned south on Tuers, Meyers got out of his car and began following on the other side of the street and saw Patel run to within 6 inches of the girl, reports said.

That’s when Patel and pulled down the front of his pants and urinated on the girl, reports said, adding that he quickly walked away and right into Meyers’ hands.

Police had been staking out the area for more than two weeks. Patel works at a Jersey City donut shop.

Nalbach said the victims are between the ages of 16 and 25.

“This is an oddity, a first,” said Nalbach. “We all know from profiling reports that people start with things like this and proceed to more serious crimes, so it had us all worried.”

On last night’s program, we spoke about a lip gloss that supposedly reacts to hormones, and changes color depending on a woman’s mood.

I got to thinking, and figured this is such a waste. There is already lipstick and lip gloss out there that is the same crimson color that this changes to when a woman supposedly is “in the mood.” What is the point of this stuff when a woman has to tell a man, “I’m wearing this stuff on my lips and it’ll let you know when I’m in the mood.” That’s a whole extra step in the process that leads to a couple having sex. Why can’t the woman just come out and say, “I’m horny, fuck me.”

On top of that, now, men are going to be confused. Everywhere they go, if they see a woman wearing crimson colors on her lips, should they assume that she wants it? Does this legitimize the old unaccepted saying, “she was asking for it?”

If you ask me, I think it’s just going to confuse things, make matters worse, and just become a waste….unless it becomes a whole new way to tease the shit out of men. Women already have enough weapons at their disposal. This just isn’t fair.

After reading John Mayer’s controversial recent interviews, Billy Corgan is convinced Mayer is trying to self-destruct. “He’s trying to destroy his career,” Corgan told Rolling Stone’s Brian Hiatt in an interview outtake from RS‘ revealing new Corgan feature in the new issue, on sale now. “Rather than take a year off or change his musical direction… some part of it is irritating his soul to the point where he’s trying to blow it up. Certainly a talented guy, but empathetically, standing on the sidelines, it’s hard to watch someone literally burn their career to the ground — speaking as somebody who’s done it.”

Corgan also responded to Mayer’s comments on their mutual friend Jessica Simpson (”sexual napalm,” Mayer called her). “As far as it pertains to her. I think for any person who has celebrity to sort of drop rocks at somebody else’s feet like that — there’s things you should really just keep your mouths shut on. There’s things that should just be left alone.”

Even though John Mayer is thought of as the bigger douche at the moment, I’m taking his side. Who cares if he recently just lost his n-card. He apologized, so get over it.

Bitch-ass Billy Corgan is just mad because Mayer fucked Jessica Simpson first. I honestly don’t believe that Corgan hit that yet, and that makes him bitter. John Mayer has a roster of some decent looking chicks such as Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Minka Kelly, and of course, Jessica Simpson. Corgan had Courtney Love(which Kurt Cobain stole from him), some ugly ass European model, a decent LA weather forecaster, and John Mayer’s left-overs.

Also, who the fuck is Billy Corgan to talk about anyone’s careers, or even give them advice on their love life? I hate his Powder looking ass, and I hope he falls off the stage at his next concert, and breaks his neck. Fuck Billy Corgan!
